WHO WE
ARE

A crew of dirt-obsessed riders from the Pacific Northwest. We ride hard, dig often, and welcome everyone willing to show up.

Our Story

STARTED WITH
SIX BIKES AND
A DIRT ROAD

Ridge Riders was founded in 2009 by a handful of riders who kept running into each other on the same trail. Six people, no club structure, just a shared obsession with finding lines no one else bothered to map.

What started as a weekend ride group became the Pacific Northwest's most active mountain bike community. Today, we're 842 members strong — organized rides every week, monthly trail maintenance crews, youth clinics, regional race teams, and a post-ride coffee tradition that shows no sign of ending.

We ride every discipline. We welcome every level. We build the trails, we maintain them, and we protect access to the land that makes it all possible.

What Drives Us

BUILT ON
MORE THAN
MILES

Everything we do comes back to three things: community, stewardship, and the relentless pursuit of a better line.

01
Community First
Riding is better together. We organize weekly group rides for every skill level — from first-time dirt rollers to full-send descenders. No one gets dropped on purpose.
02
Trail Stewardship
We built half the trails in our network with our own hands. Monthly dig days, drainage fixes, and brush clearance keep them prime year-round and keep our permits intact.
03
Skills Development
Coached clinics for all levels, youth programs, and mentorship pairings. We believe every rider has more potential than they think — we help them find it.
04
Year-Round Riding
Pacific Northwest winters don't stop us. We map seasonal routes, maintain mud-season drainage, and keep organized rides on the calendar every single week.
05
Land Access
We work with land managers, forestry agencies, and local governments to protect and expand trail access. Advocacy is as important to us as any dig day.
06
Inclusive Culture
MTB is for everyone. We actively work to make our club welcoming to riders of all backgrounds, genders, ages, and abilities. Come as you are.
Our History

16 YEARS
ON THE DIRT

2009
The First Ride
Six riders meet at the Copper Creek trailhead by coincidence. They agree to ride together every Saturday. Ridge Riders is born, informally, with no logo and no membership fee.
2011
First Official Dig Day
Membership reaches 40. The first organized trail maintenance day clears 2km of overgrown switchbacks on Serpent's Back. A tradition begins.
2014
Copper Creek Enduro — Year One
Ridge Riders hosts its first sanctioned race. 120 entrants. Handmade trophies. The race sells out in 48 hours and becomes an annual fixture on the regional calendar.
2017
Youth Program Launches
The Ridge Riders Junior Shredders program launches with 12 kids. Coached by volunteer club members, it grows into a full youth racing pipeline within two seasons.
2020
Trail Network Mapped & Digitized
Despite pandemic restrictions, volunteers GPS-map all 63 trails in the network. The digital trail atlas goes live and becomes the most-used MTB resource in the Pacific Northwest.
2023
500-Member Milestone
Ridge Riders crosses 500 paid members — a 300% increase in five years. New skill clinics, beginner programs, and women-specific riding groups launch to serve the expanded community.
2026
842 Members and Counting
The club continues to grow. New trail permits are in progress, a second race event is in planning, and the post-ride coffee line is longer than ever.
